ABN AMRO Mortgage Group reported an increase in production during February.
The Ann Arbor lender reported production of $11.7 billion, with 69,266 loans funded. The prior month, ABNÂ AMRO reported $11.4 billion in loans funded, and a year ago the company funded just $7.9 billion.
William A. Newman, executive vice president of the group — which is a subsidiary of an Amsterdam-based bank — attributed the growth to “increased consumer awareness in all of (ABNÂ AMRO Mortgage Group’s) direct to consumer channels.”
The bulk of ABNÂ AMRO’s activity occurs within the InterFirst Wholesale Mortgage Lending unit, which reported $9.4 billion in February production.
The company says it “is the fifth largest loan originator and seventh largest loan servicer in the U.S.”
