The head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau made his way to Capitol Hill this week to deliver his semiannual report to lawmakers.
CFPB Director RIchard Cordray testified Tuesday before the House Financial Services Committee at the hearing, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Oversight.
As has become the norm at such partisan hearings, Democrats praised Cordray for his work and Republicans bashed the director.
Cordray, who seems to have developed a thick skin for the contentious events, was criticized by Republicans about the cost of the CFPB’s office space and the negative impact of the Qualified Mortgage, among other things.
