A mortgage technology group that operates near the nation’s capitol named several executives to various posts, while new executives were hired at a public relations firm and a law firm both based in Washington, D.C. Three former agency executives landed in senior posts at service providers, and a company that fixes loan problems has a new technology chief.
Ellie Mae Director of E-Mortgage Solutions Stephanie Berger was appointed to the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization Residential Governance Committee, a Jan. 27 statement said. At Pleasanton, Calif.-based Ellie, Berger is responsible for aligning the company’s technology with MISMO standards.
Also named to “key posts within MISMO” were Harry Gardner and Charles Epperson, their employer — SigniaDocs — announced last week. Garder is Signia’s chief strategy officer, while Epperson is the Dallas-based firm’s vice president of e-mortgage technology. MISMO is based in Reston, Va.
Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Newbridge Financial Inc. announced that Robert Spitler was promoted to president as of Feb. 1. He was promoted from the role of chief financial officer.
The investment banker, which is parent to Newbridge Mortgage Corp., also promoted Thomas Casolaro to director of sales from his position as regional sales manager. Casolaro has been with Newbridge for six years.
David Jeffers was named president and chief executive officer of Collingwood Communications, a press release last week said. The new public relations firm was recently acquired as Indelium LLC by The Collingwood Group. Before establishing Indelium in 2006, Jeffers spent two decades at Fannie Mae.
In addition, Rebecca Froass was named vice president of client services at Washington, D.C.-based Collingwood Group, which was co-founded by former Ginnie Mae president Joe Murin. Froass came from Freddie Mac, which she joined in 1999, and also worked as a GSE liaison at the Mortgage Bankers Association.
| Aklero Process Solutions Inc. said on Jan. 25 that it hired Joe Klimowicz as chief technology officer. He recently served as vice president of technology for SkillSurvey Inc.
Radnor, Pa.-based Aklero says that its technology efficiently identifies and cures loan problems. In Washington, D.C., Weiner Brodsky Sidman Kider PC announced last month that John V. Konyk was hired as executive director, government affairs. Konyk most recently spent 14 years at National City Bank and currently serves as chair of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s State and Local Legislative and Regulatory committee. Stuart McFarland has joined DebtMarket as special advisor and government relations, the company said last week. The company noted that McFarland was CFO of the Federal National Mortgage Association during the eighties and has also worked for GE Capital Mortgage Services and Ticor Mortgage Insurance Co. The new executive vice president of business development at DataX Ltd. is Nanette Leonard, parent Selling Source LLC said in a Jan. 25 statement. The identity verification firm noted that Leonard most recently was senior vice president of business and product development at Kroll Factual Data. She reportedly has more than 20 years’ experience in sales, strategic business planning and product development.

In Houston, Karen Binder was hired as assistant vice president of marketing and special projects at Integrated Mortgage Solutions, a statement Wednesday said.
Stewart National Title Services, also based in Houston, announced last week that Robert Reeder joined the company as vice president, national business development in Atlanta. Reeder will be responsible for continued growth at the national commercial business in the Southeast.
In addition, Stewart said in a separate statement that Linda St. Clair was appointed vice president, strategic account manager. Her primary focus will be on leading mid-tier lenders and credit unions.
Both Reeder and St. Clair came from First American.
The William Mills Agency announced on Jan. 25 that Andy Payment was named director of new media. In addition, Nneka Egwuatu, Joy Harper and David Jones were each promoted to senior account agent.
