An executive at the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. has been promoted to head underwriting and credit at the company’s apartment lending operation.
Deborah Jenkins was appointed to vice president and national head of multifamily underwriting and credit, Freddie Mac announced today. Her new responsibilities include managing multifamily underwriting and credit approvals and managing the underwriting and credit staff at offices across the country.
Jenkins has experience developing Freddie’s underwriting for multifamily loan securitization. Her prior position was national underwriting & quality control director.
Before starting at the McLean, Va.-based company in 2008, Jenkins was a senior vice president and senior underwriter at Wells Fargo National Bank in Michigan.
In all, she has spent two decades in commercial mortgage lending.
