As many as 300 people are being recruited for production positions in Ohio by JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s mortgage unit. A projected rise in originations is behind the hirings.
In Cleveland, up to 175 full-time employees are being added at a mortgage operations center. Included among the open positions are closers, processors and underwriters. Team managers are also being recruited.
Chase is holding a job fair at 1500 West Third, Cleveland, on Oct. 5 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In Columbus, 125 positions are being filled. The jobs also include processors, closers and underwriters as well as support staff positions.
An Oct. 13 job fair is being held at 111 Polaris Parkway, Columbus, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Chase needed additional processing capacity at the two locations, according to Mary Kay Bean, a media relations executive with Chase.
“We’ve added loan officers in our branches and anticipate growth in our mortgage originations business,” Bean explained in a statement to Mortgage Daily.
