Nearly a hundreds jobs will be added in Louisiana as a result of an expansion in the state by a default services provider. It’s not the first time the company has been in expansion mode.
In August 2008, Mortgage Contracting Services reported that “explosive growth” prompted it to double its office space in Tampa, Fla., and Dallas. At that point, 92 new employees had already been hired for the year and another 37 new jobs were expected to be added by Dec. 31, 2008.
The growth increased headcount at the company by 73 percent during all of 2008. In addition to Dallas and Tampa, new staff was recruited for locations in Austin, Texas; Cincinnati; and Des Moines, Iowa.
Now the Tampa-based company is at it again.
Mortgage Contracting, which provides property preservation servicers, said Tuesday that it is opening a 10,300-square-foot facility in Ruston, La. The new office is expected to be “in full operation” by next month.
“The company will add approximately 90 jobs over the next few years in support of the local economy,” the announcement said. “MCS is offering both full- and part-time positions, with evening shifts available starting in September.”
Mortgage Contracting hopes to recruit from nearby Louisiana Tech University — where its chief executive officer, Caroline Reaves, attended college.
Asset preservation coordinators are additionally being recruited in Tampa and the Dallas suburb of Plano.
