| ABN AMRO Mortgage Group, Inc. has changed the name of its wholesale apartment lending division to InterFirst Wholesale Apartment Lending, according to a press release.
The retail apartment lending division will continue to operate under its current name, ABN AMRO Apartment Lending, which was previously shared by both divisions, the press release said. The new name for the apartment lending wholesalers is similar to that of the company’s residential lending counterpart, InterFirst Wholesale Mortgage Lending. InterFirst Wholesale Mortgage Lending produced $9 billion for the company in March, comprising more than 70 percent of ABN AMRO Mortgage Group’s total production for the month, recent company statements said. ABN AMRO Mortgage Group is an indirect subsidiary of a Dutch bank. It was the fifth largest loan originator and the seventh largest loan servicer in the United States during the 4th quarter of 2002, according to figures compiled by The Thomson Corporation. |
