National City Mortgage has implemented a consolidation plan, and wholesale lending employee changes are apparently leading the way.
The mortgage arm of National City Corp. will merge “several” Dallas-based functions into the Miamisburg, Ohio, headquarters, the company told MortgageDaily.com in an e-mailed statement. The transition is expected to be complete by year end. “All affected employees have been notified and have been provided complete information about severance benefits and other resources and support they will receive,” the statement read. The total and type of jobs that will be transferred and how many positions would be eliminated as a result of the consolidation could not be confirmed, as spokesman Chris Kemper said National City is not providing details outside of the statement. But an undisclosed number of Dayton employees were dismissed on Thursday, according to the Dayton Daily News. “We can confirm that a decision has been made to realign and streamline certain functions, including a consolidation of certain National City Mortgage wholesale branch locations, with the goal of creating more full-service locations,” the company reportedly said. |
