In addition to several education firms that offer training required under the Secure And Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act, a wholesale lender is offering subsidized courses for its mortgage broker customers.
A new continuing education offering from Hondros Learning includes all continuing education topics required by the SAFE Act, a July 15 news release said. The eight-hour course, which utilizes a textbook and supporting material, is designed as a refresher course and is available to mortgage pre-licensing students for exam preparation.
MortgageDaily.com advertiser AllRegs said last month that its 20 Hour SAFE Comprehensive Mortgage Loan Originator classroom equivalent course has been approved by the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry. The classroom version of the course was approved nearly a year ago.
ProSchools announced that it has received approval by the NMLS for the West Virginia SAFE comprehensive course and two-hour West Virginia law course. An earlier news release indicated that the company was NMLS-approved for California.
A partnership between MSS Learning Center and LoanOfficerSchool.com has made a 20-hour SAFE course available.
Paramount Residential Mortgage Group Inc. recently said it would spend $100,000 on continuing education for its broker clients. NMLS preparation training sessions are being taught at its PRMG Campus by a certified NMLS instructor over the next several months “at significant discount to brokers and originators,” with PRMG ponying up half of the cost per student.
PRMG is also providing FHA training for its brokers.
