Several mortgage-related companies have recently been recognized among the best places to have a job. Here are a few of them.
Each year, WorkplaceDynamics LLP partners with local news publications to survey employees and determine the best employers.
More than 2 million employees at more than 6,000 organizations were surveyed this year. In excess of 40 media firms participated.
PrimeLending said this month that was it was No. 8 among the 30 large-company winners in The Dallas Morning News’ 2015 Top 100 Places to Work competition. It was the fourth year it was on the list.
The Dallas-based firm, which early last year reported it employed more than 2,500 people, additionally was named one of the 100 Best Workplaces for Women by Great Place to Work and Fortune.
In Brentwood, Tennessee, Churchill Mortgage made the list of top workplaces
by The Tennessean. It was reportedly the third year in a row Churchill made the list. Churchill says it is owned by its 357 employees.
The Oregonian Media Group designated LoanStar Home Lending in Portland, Oregon, as the fifth-best employer among companies with a staff size of between 100 and 499. The 300-employee firm projects more than $1 billion in mortgage originations next year.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution ranked Primary Capital Mortgage LLC as the 54th best employer in Atlanta. In addition, the Atlanta-based company was among the 20 best workplaces based on Best Workplaces in Financial Services.
The Charlotte Business Journal ranked Quicken Loans Inc. No. 1 on its 2015 Best Places to Work in the large company category, an announcement Friday said. Quantum Workplace conducted the survey. Quicken’s Charlotte office has a staff of 330 team members.
Detroit-based Quicken, which reports a staff of 13,000,
said earlier this month that it was No. 1 on ESSENCE magazine’s inaugural 10 Best Workplaces for African Americans list and 13th on FORTUNE’s 50 Best Companies to Work for Diversity list.
West Jordan, Utah-based Mountain America Credit Union said this week that the Credit Union Journal designated it as one of the best credit unions to work at this year, while it was recognized by Great Place to Work and Fortune as Best Workplaces for Millennials, one of the top 20 Great Workplaces in Financial Services, one of the top 50 Best Workplaces for Diversity and one of the 100 Best Workplaces for Women in 2015.
Mountain America also reportedly ranked among the best employers in Idaho by POPULUS and the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce. The financial institution reports a staff of over 1,500.
McLean Mortgage Corp. said in July that it was ranked among the 50-best mortgage employers by Mortgage Executive Magazine. The Fairfax, Virginia-based company reported a staff of 234 people as of Sept. 30.
