After being delayed for an unspecified amount of time, a new release date has been scheduled for Desktop Underwriter Version 10.0.
The new version of the Federal National Mortgage Association’s automated underwriting system was scheduled to go live on June 25.
But
earlier this month, Washington-based Fannie Mae reported that it was postponing the release to ensure a successful implementation.
The delay was due to
issues with the testing environment, the notice stated.
But a new notice has been issued indicating a new release date has been set.
According to Fannie,
the DU Version 10.0 release has been rescheduled for implementation the weekend of Sept. 24.
The new version will provide
enhanced credit risk assessment including the use of trended credit data as well as AUS on loans for borrowers with no traditional credit or with multiple financed properties.
