Several executives at mortgage banking firms have been promoted, while several more have been recruited from competing companies.
Shabi Asghar was named president of Commerce Mortgage’s wholesale lending division, a March 25 announcement said.
Asghar was previously chief executive officer of Encore Credit Corp. Asghar, who started at Long Beach Mortgage in 1992, also spent time at New Century Financial Corp.
Guaranteed Rate Inc. announced on March 19 that Juli Rennie was hired as senior vice president and regional manager to expand business in Oklahoma and Texas. Rennie’s previous employers include MetLife Home Loans, Bank of America Home Loans and Ford Consumer Finance.
The new northeast regional manager for EverBank’s retail lending division is Mark Wenitzky, a news release issued Thursday said. His 17 years in the mortgage business included time at Bank of America Home Loans, JPMorgan Chase &Â Co. and MetLife Home Loans.
Churchill Mortgage said this week that Pamela Kennedy was named director of strategic relationships. Before starting at Churchill in July 2013, Kennedy worked for several technology companies.
Nancy McMahan was promoted from branch liaison to marketing projects manager. She’s been at Churchill since December 2010.
Jeanna Tidwell is now leading Churchill’s sales support and sales support representative teams.
In Bala Cynwyd, Pa., Alan Michaels has been hired as regional sales manager in the mid-Atlantic region for Allied Mortgage Group, a March 20 statement said.
Julie Frazier will now run all wholesale operations, Allied said. Both Michaels and Frazier previously worked for E Mortgage Management LLC.
Gateway Mortgage Group announced this month that it hired James Cowan as regional sales manager. Cowan will oversee an expansion in the Midwest for the Tulsa, Okla.-based company. His decade of experience included a job at U.S. Bank Home Mortgage.
