Among several recent mortgage executive moves are C-Suite appointments at the Federal National Mortgage Association and the Government National Mortgage Association.

Fannie Mae said last month that
J. Douglas Watt has been appointed senior vice president and chief audit executive. Watt begins his new role at the Washington-based firm today.

With 35 years of audit experience, Watt previously worked for GE Capital’s North American commercial lending and leasing businesses. He also spent time at Capital One Financial.

Ginnie Mae announced on Monday that Nancy Corsiglia has been
recruited to be its new executive vice president and chief operating officer. She replaces Mary Kinney, who retired.

Corsiglia has more than a quarter-century in financial services, most recently as managing director at
Devonshire Advisory Group and previously as a top executive at the Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corp.

“Corsiglia will administer Ginnie Mae’s $1.7 trillion mortgage-backed securities and real estate mortgage investment conduit programs,” Ginnie said. “She will also be responsible for managing Ginnie Mae’s daily operations, including all MBS operations, counterparty relationships, contracting, budget and legislative initiatives, and overall risk management.”

The new executive vice president of the wholesale lending division at Carrington Mortgage Services LLC is Patrick Flanagan, a news release last month said.

Flanagan, who has spent more than three decades in home lending, came from Cove Financial Group, where he was chief executive officer. He also was managing director of mortgage trading at
Cerberus Capital Management.

In Ellicott City, Maryland, Tony Catanese
has joined Sierra Pacific Mortgage as the east coast regional wholesale sales manager. His quarter-century in the mortgage business included stints at American Brokers Conduit, Annie Mac Home Mortgage and SunTrust Mortgage Inc.

First California Mortgage Co. announced on June 30 that Joe McKone has been hired as executive vice president of national production.
He previously worked for First Franklin Financial and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, where he started in 1984.

In addition, Petaluma, California-based First Cal said
Christina Baker has been brought on as director-national retail operations. Baker, a graduate of West Point Military Academy, most recently was employed by Mortgage Solutions Financial.

Karen Crawford is the new chief
legal and compliance officer at Pacific Union Financial LLC, a July 7 news release indicated. Her more than three decades in the business included time at Bank of America Corp., Fannie and Stearns Lending LLC.

“Karen is a great addition to our executive leadership team,” Rick Skogg, president and chief executive officer of the Irving, Texas-based company, said in the statement. “She brings to Pacific Union expertise in the areas of mortgage law, compliance and risk management, which are critical to our success in the current regulatory environment.”

In Strongsville, Ohio, Union Home Mortgage Corp. Michael Jones as been added as wholesale west regional manager. With more than 20 years’ experience, Jones’ prior employers include CitiMortgage Inc., IndyMac Bank and Wells Fargo.
