Among several recent mortgage-related executive moves are a pair of c-suite promotions and a pair of senior vice president appointments.
Chris Henson has been named president of both BB&T Corp. and subsidiary Branch Banking and Trust Co., a Dec. 21 statement said.
Henson takes over from Kelly King, who will remain chairman and chief executive officer of Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based BB&T.
Henson completed BB&T’s leadership program in 1985, after which point he served in a variety of positions. He became chief financial officer in 2005 then was promoted to his current role of chief operating officer in 2009.
The new president of Mortgage Network Inc. is James Comosa, a Dec. 19 news release said. He was promoted from his role as director of corporate development, a position he took on when he joined the Danvers, Massachusetts-based firm in March 2012. He takes over the role of president from Mortgage Network Chairman and CEO Robert McInnes.
Comosa’s 28 years in the mortgage business also included time at
MetLife Home Loans and Countrywide Home Loans.
Mortgage Network reports a staff of more than 400 employees and 40 branch offices.
In Melville, New York, John Brumund was hired as senior vice president, national distributed retail director, at The Money Source, according to a Dec. 13 statement. He reportedly has more than two decades’ experience.
The Money Source says it hired more than 500 new employees this year and closed more than $1 billion in loans during a single month.
Selene Finance LP said on Dec. 16 that Walt Kieschnick was promoted to senior vice president, portfolio management. Before joining the Horsham, Pennsylvania-based servicer in 2012, Kieschnick worked at Litton Loan Servicing LP since 2006.
Brad Smith was named national renovation sales director at Stonegate Mortgage Corp., the Indianapolis-based firm reported on Dec. 7. Stonegate says Smith has 26 years in the mortgage industry.
HRO Today Magazine named New American Funding Human Resources Director Katie Traviglia to its 2016 HR Superstars List, the Tustin, California-based company announced on Dec. 20. Traviglia joined New American in 2012 with more than a decade of human resources experience.
