A new call center opening by next year in East Texas has Nationstar Mortgage LLC adding hundreds of new jobs in the region.
The Coppell, Texas-based company
previously reported that it employs approximately 7,000 people across the entire country.
But that number is set to increase during the coming months thanks to the opening of a new customer contact center in East Texas.
A news release Wednesday from the
Longview Economic Development Corp. indicated that Nationstar is opening the new call center facility in Longview, Texas.
The leased site is located in
an existing building at the Triple Creek Shopping Center.
Mike Rawls, executive vice president of servicing for Nationstar, explained in the statement that the location was chosen due to “the city’s dedication to this project and our opportunity to hire from the community’s excellent pool of talent.”
Nationstar expects to open the center later this year or early next year.
With the new location, Nationstar expects to create 600 new jobs in Longview.
Longview Mayor Andy Mack noted in the announcement that Nationstar is the largest new employer to locate in the city during the past decade.
“The LEDCO team, with the support of the City of Longview and the East Texas Workforce Solutions Center, worked closely with Nationstar Mortgage to foster this move and fulfill the requirements,” Longview Economic Development Corp. President and Chief Executive Officer Wayne Mansfield stated in the announcement. “The total payroll, benefits and capital investment contributed by Nationstar Mortgage will reach $248 million over the next ten years.”
Among the openings are account resolution managers, loan counselors, customer service representatives and customer service managers.
A job fair is planned on Sept. 12 at the
Maude Cobb Convention Center.
