A mortgage service provider has some aggressive hiring plans — with around a hundred positions expected to be filled in the next month.
The Oakleaf Group says that it provides mortgage-banking firms with risk analytics, finance and technology advisory services.
Based in Bethesda, Maryland, Oakleaf is preparing for an increase in business for loans that don’t meet Qualified Mortgage requirements.
As part of that preparation, the company is staffing up, according to a telephone interview with Oakleaf Group Managing Director Wesley Mesirow.
In addition, it also has a need for staffing to handle QM business and for some specific projects.
“We’re looking to bring on about in the neighborhood of a hundred people
over here in the next four to five weeks,” Mesirow stated.
All of the positions being filled are residential underwriters.
While some of the new recruits will work at Oakleaf’s headquarters, other will be located in the offices of Oakleaf’s clients around the country.
The planned expansion in staffing is a significant increase to the roughly 150 people currently on Oakleaf’s payroll.
