Wells Fargo & Co.’s home lending unit is in the process of recruiting correspondent lending employees in the state of Illinois.
The new jobs are being added to support the
correspondent third-party business
line at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.
A statement from the Des Moines, Iowa-based residential lender indicated that the new employees will be located in Springfield, Illinois.
The recruiting campaign is targeting both regular permanent positions and temporary jobs, though all of the new employees will work on a full-time basis.
“We constantly analyze our business and make sure our resources are effectively deployed,” Alfredo Padilla, consumer lending communications at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, said in a written statement. “Market demands and fluctuations are a critical component of that analysis, as we must have the right structures and people in place to support ongoing shifts in the mortgage market.”
Approximately 100 positions are open, and the hirings will add to the 600 team members already employed in Springfield.
The planned hirings come on the heels of around a thousand recent servicing layoffs in Milwaukee by Wells Fargo.
