Quarterly home lending activity stepped back at USA Mortgage. The number of employees at the mortgage banker, however, increased.
Residential loan production from July 1 through Sept. 30 came to 2,061 loans for $0.354 billion.
Retail originations accounted for $0.349 billion of total volume, while wholesale lending made up the remaining $0.005 billion.
The St. Louis-based company reported the data, along with other operational statistics, as part of the Mortgage Daily Third Quarter 2015 Mortgage Origination Survey.
The latest activity wasn’t quite as good as during the second quarter, when 2,284 loans were closed for $0.403 billion.
For the nine months ended Sept. 30, home loan production came to 6,393 loans funded for $1.127 billion.
USA Mortgage reported no servicing portfolio.
As of Sept. 30, 2015, there were 363 people on USA Mortgage’s payroll.
Headcount increased from the 354 employees as of three months earlier.
